Many people born after 1980 are classified as Indigo children. There are Indigos that came earlier as well, although they are much much more common now. It is so important that Indigos and especially Indigo children are recognised for what they are so that they can flourish like everyone else. They have lovely gifts but if they are not cared for in the right way, they will pay a heavy price for their uniqueness. They are often pushed down, and their gifts not recognised. They are often forced to conform and therefore lose their uniqueness, which lead them to lose their confidence and their path. If you are an Indigo, or know one, I advise that you research the matter a little in order that you or the Indigo in your life can benefit humanity with their spiritual and humanitarian gifts.
Here is a text about the characteristics of Indigo Children written by Wendy Chapman on www.Metagifted.org.
